Burner Friday: 433 WPS F-15D Eagle

June 26, 2015 Burner Friday: 433 WPS F-15D

What would Friday be without a healthy dose of afterburner, right?!

In celebration of Class 15-Alpha graduating from the United States Air Force Weapons School this week, our installment of the ever-popular Burner Friday features a McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) F-15D Eagle from the 433rd Weapons Squadron, powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney F-100-PW-220 motors. The jet is seen taking off on Night Two of Advanced Integration Phase, formerly known as Mission Employment.

The 433 WPS is the parent organization to the Weapons Instructor Course for both the F-15 Eagle and F-22 Raptor, two platforms tasked with establishing and maintaining Air Dominance in the contested, degraded, and operationally limited environment of tomorrow’s battlespace.

So here’s to you, 15-Alpha! Congratulations on completing what will likely be the most difficult and rewarding course of instruction in your entire Air Force career. You earned your patches and you’ve been tasked to shape the invisible. Do it with humility, encourage your brothers and sisters to excel, and most importantly…prepare those under your charge for what lies ahead. They will look to you when the time comes!
