From The Cockpit: Exercise Sentry Eagle

Scott Wolff No Comments Photos

Happy Wednesday, oh FighterSweep Faithful! We are a little late to the fight with this one, but I promise it’s worth the wait you’ve been subjected to.

Tonight we bring you the long-awaited, much-promised gallery of images collected out in the airspace during Exercise Sentry Eagle 2015. We at FighterSweep were very fortunate to fly along for three of the exercise’s four days, thanks to the fantastic airmen of the Oregon Air National Guard’s 173rd Fighter Wing, based at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls.

From “Tick” and “Pappy” at the Wing level, “Thug” and his folks in the Operations Group, to “Coma” and “Fletch” at the squadron level, the 173rd is a class act. Between both the active duty component and the air guard personnel that comprise the unit, the level of experience and wisdom they bring to the F-15 community is unmatched anywhere else.

Lastly, and certainly above all, we cannot understate the professionalism and accommodation of the 173rd’s Public Affairs shop. None of this would have been possible without them, and we are grateful beyond words for their help and support.

So without further ado, here is Exercise Sentry Eagle 2015…from the cockpit!
