The 482nd Fighter Wing from Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida sent 12 F-16C Falcons and Airmen to partake in Exercise Iniohos 17 based out of Andravida Air Base, Greece. This is the 3rd time the annual event has been held and includes NATO allies and military forces from other nations.

“This exercise gives us the chance to strengthen our bonds with other [NATO] countries [like Italy, Israel, Greece], our allies, with a different type of air superiority,” said Capt. Paul Deveaux, 482nd Maintenance Operations Group maintenance operations officer.

“This experience gives us the feel for a deployment,” said Staff Sgt. Jordan Anthony, 482nd Maintenance Squadron crew chief. “It gives us a chance to improve flexibility with things we may or may not have and the opportunity to work in an environment we’re not used to.” – Air Force Reserve Command

The original Iniohos exercise began in the late 1980’s with only the air forces of Greece involved (Hellenic Air Force).
