Ho-Hum…More Russian Bear Bombers Fly Near Alaska Coast but This Time With a Twist…

Yet again, Soviet Union era Russian Tupolev Tu-95 ‘Bear’ Bombers entered the Alaskan Air Defense Zone Wednesday night. A couple weeks ago the Russians did this maneuver two nights in a row and the second night the US reportedly did not even send any aircraft to intercept them.

So Russian leader Vladimir Putin must have realized that the US was getting boarded with these ‘intrusions’ because this time he sent a pair of unarmed Su-35 fighters to escort the bombers! Red Alert! Send the F-22 fighters! Well, they were already airborne flying a routine patrol so why not. Go get ’em guys!

The Russian formation was intercepted by a pair of U.S. Air Force F-22 stealth fighter jets that were already flying a patrol about 50 miles southwest of Chariot, Alaska. A NORAD spokesperson told Fox News the intercept began at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday and a defense source said it also occurred into Thursday.

It was the first time the U.S. Air Force has seen advanced Russian Su-35 fighter jets escort Russian Cold War-era bombers near Alaska.

Old Vlad is really digging deep these days to try and throw fear into the hearts and minds of US citizens and maybe President Trump. Are you worried? Do you think his tactics are working? Let us know!

From a couple weeks ago…
