Spectacular image of an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter flying in front of a huge wall of flames at the South Carolina National Guard Air & Ground Expo makes our Fighter Sweep picture of the day. The two day event was held at McEntire Joint National Guard Base.

The expo is as a way for the South Carolina National Guard to say ‘thank you’ to the community for their ongoing support. The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate the weekend with the men and women of the South Carolina National Guard.

The expo will feature more than 100 ground displays of military equipment from past and present, along with aerial and ground demonstrations. Each day’s show will culminate with a joint air and ground combat exercise, highlighting the SC Guard’s unique capabilities. – SC Guard Expo
