Rear Adm. Bill Byrne, commander of Carrier Strike Group 11, departs the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) on an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Combatant Strike Squadron (HSC) 8.

The Princeton is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.  – US Navy
