Featured image of various types of military aircraft, including C-5 Galaxy that once belonged to the 445th Airlift Wing, are dispersed across more than 2,600 acres of desert land at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), often called “The Boneyard.”

AMARG, an Air Force aircraft and missile storage and maintenance facility located at Davis-Monthan, takes care of more than 4,400 aircraft, which makes it the largest aircraft storage and preservation facility in the world. C-5 tail number 70-0457 left Ohio Jan. 31, 2012. It was the last C-5 to leave the wing. – US Air Force
