US Navy P-8A Poseidon Patrol Aircraft Catches on Fire – Lands at Corpus Christi International Airport

A US Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft landed safely at Corpus Christi International Airport after suffering an in-flight engine fire.

According to airport officials, a Navy 737 was in the area conducting training, when, crews heard loud noises and noticed flames coming from the aircraft’s left engine.

The flight crew was able to land the plane safely at CCIA. No one onboard was injured during the incident.

The plane, which was carrying 6,000 pounds of fuel at take off,  taxied to a nearby runway where investigators will try to determine what caused the incident. – KRISTV.com
